Naredni narativni sled fotografija pripada američkom umetniku Duejnu Majkl, rođenom 1932. godine. Majkl je poznat o fotografskim esejima, narativnom fotografskom sledu. Svojim fotografijama umetnik priča priču o anđelu koji dolazi u posetu devojci. On ulazi u njenu sobu sa krilima a izlazi bez njih. On k njoj dolazi nag a izlazi obučen.

Posle studija umetnosti Duejn se posvećuje fotografiji koju jedno vreme i predaje na različitim koledžima. Njegovi radovi se pojavljuju u magazinima Vogue, Mademoiselle, Scientific America. Muzeji koji su otkupili njegove radove su Museum of Modern Art, New York, Art Institute of Chicago, Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Njegove poetske fotografije ponekad neodoljivo podsećaju na poeziju jednog drugog američkog umetnika, pesnika E.E. Kamingsa.

Michals is best known for his sequence photographs, which he began creating in 1966 in New York. Dramatically different from more traditional photo essays such as those published in Life magazine, these works offered a new form of expression in the field of photography. The sequences vary in length, and the photographs are often accompanied by words handwritten by Michals after the final print is made. In these works, Michals abandons the alleged veracity of the photograph in favor of combining poetry and personal narrative with camera-made images. His themes are broad, but the emphasis tends toward the nature of human relationships, often within the family, and frequently focuses on the father-son dynamic. *
